Gulf Coast-area public school districts acknowledge that each and every student is unique and special. Students’ interest and success in education can be strengthened by allowing them to choose their areas of concentration. The school districts offer a variety of unique educational programs and extracurricular activities that allow students to identify and pursue paths that most interest them. This type of child-led learning enables students and parents to work together and become the directors of their own study. They can essentially build an educational and extracurricular program that is just as original and authentic as they are themselves.
Unmatched in variety, the Gulf Coast school districts have over 180 unique programs for our students
Gulf Coast-area ISDs provide numerous project-based educational programs: Magnets and Academies, CTE (Career and Technical Education), Dual Language/ Bi-lingual, Gifted and Talented, Dual Credit/ Advanced Placement, STEM/ STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), After School programs and projects, Pre-Kindergarten, Special Education, Fine Arts, and several more specialized programs and groups within each main program. Students have the opportunity to gain knowledge and skills in pre-professional programs like Culinary Arts, Automotive Technology, Floral Design, Information Technology, Film/ Video Production, Health Sciences, Fashion Design, etc. Students can graduate high school with college credits and/or associate’s degrees already under their belts.
